Travel Summary

• Air traffic controllers at Larnaca and Paphos airports have announced two four-hour strikes from 13:00 on both Wednesday January 18 and Wednesday January 25. This may cause disruption to flights in and out of the airports and passengers are requested to contact their airline before travelling.
  
  
• There is an underlying threat from terrorism. Attacks, although unlikely, could be indiscriminate, including in places frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers.
  
  
• Around 1.3 million British nationals visit Cyprus every year (Source: Cyprus Tourist Organisation). Most visits are trouble-free.
